Tech News 1
Although HD put up an admirable struggle, it seems like the final nail in HD DVDs coffin may have been driven earlier this week as New Line Cinemas went exclusively to Blu Ray formatted disks. With Paramount's exclusivity contract expiring and even Universal looking over the fence, Blu Ray's sales dominance will only increase. Adding a little more fervency to the whispers of defeat was HD DVD's absence from CES 2008, with nothing but a little backpack embroidery to count for attendance. There are already a few HD DVD player price drops online to try and win a little support, but the increasing sales of the Sony PS3 and the aforementioned developments seem to make that move almost futile.
